 | FSR Eagle Soars For Colonial Baptist Church
(Woodland Park, NJ, April 5, 2010) FSR, Inc.– a long-time supplier of audio/video control, switching and connectivity products – today announced another successful installation of three recently introduced Eagle 200/HD switchers at the Colonial Baptist Church of Wichita Falls, Texas.
The project was designed and implemented by Lafayette, CO based Summit Integrated Systems (www.SummitIntegrated.com), specialists in church audio, video and lighting systems since 1997. "The 1400-plus person congregation has been around since the 1970s," said Chris Rayburn, president and CEO. "We replaced an older single screen configuration in a traditional baptistry setting with three 8x14 foot fixed screens arranged in a nearly continuous curve over several portable baptistry pools ... we assigned one Eagle switcher to each screen, that way Colonial's creative staff can display a different image on each screen or stretch one moving background across all three, along with camera shots and character generated lyrics. In the control room, several large multi-view enabled LCD screens preview all the Eagle outputs, managed through a single EC-200T controller, before they're sent to the projection screens," he added.
"We've used a lot of FSR product in the past, but this is our first experience with the Eagle 200 ... it was the most cost-effective way to meet Colonial's requirement to display separate images or a single one stretched across three screens, yet still have a simple control interface with pre-sets their staff could operate. The Eagle proved very easy to use – volunteers learned the basics in minutes ... it packs a lot of complex capabilities that, with just a little programming by the full-time tech team, anyone could operate," said Rayburn.
