 | Telos Introduces Nx12: Evolution in TalkShow Systems Featuring Livewire Audio-Over-IP Technolog
24 April, 2006, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
Telos Systems, recognized the world over as the leading provider of equipment designed to make talkshows, teleconferences, audio production, and remote broadcasts better sounding, easier to program, and more economical than ever, proudly unveils the Nx12 talkshow system at NAB 2006. Building on the success of the company's legendary line of talkshow systems, the new Nx12 provides support for both POTS and ISDN, the latest hybrid technology, and Livewire audio-over-IP technology-making this the most powerful performer ever offered by Telos.
The exceptional Nx12 is a self-contained, 12-line system that includes 4 hybrids. Available with either analog or AES inputs and outputs; the Nx12 mixes callers down to two separate analog or AES feeds when the built-in outputs are utilized. In such cases, four hybrids remain present, offering improved performance while squeezing the best trans-hybrid loss out of your POTS or ISDN lines. Each hybrid incorporates its own Omnia AGC and noise gate employing state-of-the-art DSP algorithms-making caller-to-caller consistency better than ever.
In addition to hybrid functions, the new Nx12 includes echo cancellation for those sometimes troublesome VolP and cellular callers. With two Program-on-Hold inputs and two Analog (or AES) outputs, the Telos Nx12 is perfectly capable of handling the telephone requirements for two stations simultaneously.
The new Nx12 is fully compatible with all Telos third-generation control surfaces including the Desktop Director, Call Controller, and Console Director. Additionally, this powerful performer includes those special features both producers and talent have come to rely upon to make their work easierincluding Telos Systems' exclusive Status Symbols TM visual call management system that shows line and caller status at a glance, plus an adaptive function that cancels feedback in open speaker applications. And of course, the Nx12's Ethernet jack supports Telos Assistant Producer Talkshow Management Software for Windows over any IP network.
For added convenience, direct access to the Nx12's 4 caller outputs is supported when the unit is interfaced with a Livewire audio network or an Axia audio interface node. The Nx12 readily connects with Axia Element clients and provides direct control of the four hybrids from the Element's Call Control Module and faders, as well as Livewire audio input and output signals.
