| QTV Introduces Affordable Prompting and Video Server Solutions at NAB 2008 NAB, Las Vegas, April 2008 – QTV, the leading provider of newsroom automation and telepromting solutions, is further expanding its range of affordable solutions. New to NAB is QTV’s popular “Starter” range, aimed at emerging non-traditional broadcasters and productions. These entry-level prompters offer highly budget conscious customers an attractive starting point in the QTV range. They are designed with the same hood, brackets and mounting plates as QTV’s world-renowned “Master” and “Professional” ranges so that “Starter” customers have an easy and cost-effective upgrade path available to them in the future. The Starter prompters can be combined with QTV’s robust “QStart” software, a single-prompt, single-script software application for those who only require straightforward editing capabilities. Also new to NAB and designed to augment the highly successful Professional Series, QTV has added the “PSP05”, the smallest prompter available on the market. Designed for use with lightweight tripods, hand-held cameras, Steadicams and jib arms, the PSP05 combines portability and lightweight design with excellent readability. Rounding out the NAB offering of affordable new solutions, QTV is launching “QStore”, a new addition to the QSeries range. QStore is a cost-effective, HD-capable video storage, ingest and playout solution based on off-the-shelf PC hardware. Centralized storage provides shared access to media from the most popular software editing packages, and ingest/playout ports can be added as required to provide multiple audio/video inputs and outputs. Aimed at emerging and smaller broadcasters, along with educational, corporate and religious applications, QStore is a modular solution which can easily be combined with QSmart, QTV’s affordable newsroom solution, to create a compelling entry-level solution. |
