 | Toboggan Allows You to “Slide” Content From Grass Valley Infinity Digital Media Camcorder
Maia, Portugal, April 14, 2007 – MOG Solutions is pleased to announce the release of its Toboggan Media Transfer, a new integrated solution for moving MXF media into Avid environments. The transfer of MXF-wrapped content from the Grass Valley Infinity™ Series Digital Media Camcorder (DMC) into Avid video editors and workgroups is now an easy and automated task, eliminating the multiple steps that are required in editor-initiated workflows.
Infinity DMC users will benefit from this new offer from MOG Solutions. Being an IT-immersed camera, the Infinity DMC provides choices in media and connectivity for fast access, file-based transfer into an Avid environment. Toboggan Media Transfer provides maximum productivity in the Avid editing environment by eliminating the requirement to ingest MXF-wrapped files, giving the editor direct and immediate access to the Infinity content.
“The bridge between Infinity and Avid has been built over MXF as the most flexible content wrapping format in the market today. Toboggan Media Transfer is the tool that opens the door and allows access to your Infinity media in Avid”, said Vitor Teixeira, VP of Product Development and Sales, “Toboggan allows users to take full advantage of the products from these companies with extra flexibility, control and connectivity”.
”The Infinity digital media camcorder is set to revolutionize news-gathering and field production, in standard and high definition,” said Jeff Rosica, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Technology for the Grass Valley business within Thomson. “Seamless transfers using industry standard formats is central to the Infinity proposition, and we are delighted to be working with Toboggan on this transparent interface to the Avid editing world.”
