 | Logitek Introduces Pilot Console
April 20, 2009,
Las Vegas Nevada, NAB booth N7124 – Logitek Electronic Systems has introduced the Pilot, an inexpensive router-based audio control surface for radio broadcasting applications.
Designed to complement the JetStream Mini IP audio router, the Pilot surface is a modular system that provides up to 24 faders. Audio sources may be routed as desired to each of the Pilot’s faders; change buttons above each fader work in conjunction with a Select knob to the side. Each fader may be independently assigned to a Program bus or any of three Auxiliary busses. In addition, a Cue switch above each fader will route that fader’s source to a built-in cue speaker.
“The Pilot is perfect for stations that want the flexibility of IP audio routing and mixing at an entry level price,” said Tag Borland, Logitek president. “The Pilot surface offers traditional styling which means the learning curve is very low, but the flexibility to assign sources where needed is still available. It is an ideal surface for both beginners and experienced operators, and helps stations on a tight budget implement an IP audio system.”
A Pilot audio console starts at only $2,600. Projected availability for the Pilot is summer 2009; the JetStream Mini is available now.
