In addition to reducing both set-up and running costs, Latens technology enables Swedish Space Corporation to run individual security systems for each client.

Latens systems provide this by employing new IT security techniques and using the power of the two-way digital network to provide next generation Conditional Access for broadband and digital cable networks through Secure Software Modules (SSM) in the set-top-box.
