|  “The Outdoorsman with Buck McNeeley” Fujinon HD Lenses Ca[ture Wildlife for Widely Syndicated “The Outdoorsman with Buck McNeeley” January 8, 2007 – Avid outdoorsman, Buck McNeely has been shooting with Fujinon, Inc. lenses for a decade on his internationally syndicated TV adventure series, “The Outdoorsman with Buck McNeely.” Since October, the show has been capturing its images in HD using Fujinon’s HA25x11.5BERD HD ENG-Style lens and HA22x7.8BERD HD ENG-Style zoom lens. For twenty-one years the weekly adventure series has presented the sporting lifestyle in exotic locations and captured wildlife in its natural habitat. Because of its rugged locales, Fujinon lenses were the obvious choice, according to Buck McNeely, Host and Producer of “The Outdoorsman with Buck McNeely.” “First and foremost, Fujinon makes a superior product, and the quality of their lenses is unsurpassed in the industry” said McNeely. The HA25X11.5BERD HD ENG-Style lens’ telephoto capability and lightweight offers the ability to capture quality high definition images from previously unreachable, remote locations. While McNeely’s crew was on location in Montana recently, a small group of Rocky Mountain big horn sheep gathered on the other side of a canyon. Without the lens, the chance appearance of the sheep would have had very little impact on that day’s production. “We were able to turn mediocre footage into excellent footage by using Fujinon’s HD lens. We couldn’t get any closer physically, and when Mother Nature unfolds a story, you only get one take!” Any outdoorsman knows that Mother Nature can sometimes become harsh. The Fujinon lenses have proven they can stand up to weather’s bitter extremes while maintaining high quality. McNeely considers the lens as necessary and reliable as any of his gear he brings to the wilderness. “In situations where you’re shooting outdoors, you need something rugged and durable in various climates of extreme heat and cold,” said McNeely. “Fujinon lenses have never failed me.” McNeely says Fujinon lenses allow him to be prepared for any situation without weighing down the production: “It’s my belief that when you go into the field, you have to have the best equipment you can afford. If you go in under-equipped, something will crop up and you won’t be prepared. What you bring has to give you total reliability.” Weighing a mere 6.2 pounds, the HA25X11.5 lens needs no additional support. It is a compact telephoto lens ideally suited for gyro stabilized platforms in aircraft, wildlife photography in remote areas and HD surveillance applications, where light weight and unobtrusive appearance are critical. McNeely appreciates the superior zoom on the HA18x7.6 BERD HD ENG-Style lens, noting, “The zoom function is smooth and professional.” Quick Zoom provides zooming in 0.6 seconds from wide-end to telephoto. A push of the Cruise Zoom switch while zooming will fix the zooming speed at the existing rate. Once it is fixed, the speed will remain constant throughout the zoom range. Zoom and focus can be preset and memorized in advance at a selected shot. One touch of the switch during shooting will instantly return to the memorized position. The maximum zoom speed can be selected in seven precise steps allowing the operator to fine-tune the zoom speed according to personal preferences. |
