Palo Alto, CA: February 18, 2009 Leading audio manufacturer Euphonix, Inc. and The Institute of Broadcast Sound (IBS) are pleased to announce a joint initiative is aimed at not only increasing awareness of the IBS organization and its benefits to today’s audio professionals but also at increasing its membership. Within the industry, an IBS membership is widely recognized as a mark of competence and professionalism; while Euphonix is regarded as a world leader of large-format digital audio consoles and media controllers.
The two-month long promotion, running throughout March and April, will provide all new customers of the Euphonix Artist Series media controllers with the opportunity to join the IBS, free for a year representing a saving of up to £75. New members will need to register their Artist Series and provide the IBS with proof of purchase within the promotional period. Additional information and details are available at www.ibs.org.uk .
The IBS represents the benchmark in dedication, experience and professionalism within the UK pro-audio market. Euphonix has always been a company to innovate and look to the future, and to join with the IBS to reach out to the future of the industry is a privilege, stated Mark Hosking, Euphonix Sales Manager. The power and flexibility of the Artist Series is the perfect match for todays diverse workflow demands, providing professionals with cutting-edge media controllers that can be used with virtually any audio or video application, any time, any place.
The IBS was founded in 1977 by sound balancers in radio and television who felt a need for a better interchange of ideas between practitioners in the various areas of broadcast audio. With ever-evolving technologies and the delivery media now available, the IBS has grown to become an influential forum for audio professionals working within all aspects of sound production and post production, not just the broadcast environment.
The Artist Series uses the high-speed EuCon control protocol, developed by Euphonix, which enables simultaneous control of multiple applications and workstations over Ethernet. This allows comprehensive control over Pro Tools, Logic Studio, Cubase, Nuendo, Digital Performer and many more software applications, providing unmatched flexibility and enabling the instantaneous switching between multiple Mac workstations perfect for projects involving dedicated audio and video workstations. Furthermore, the small footprint of the MC Control and MC Mix allows these media controllers to be integrated easily into any studio, fitting perfectly between a computer keyboard and screen, or in a central location on a larger console.
