Euphonix Wows the Broadcast World

PALO ALTO, CA – April 9, 2008 –Euphonix kicks off the NAB show by announcing unprecedented growth in the broadcast industry. A world leader in large-format mixing consoles and control surfaces, the company is enjoying steady growth in System 5-B and Max Air sales around world.

“2008 is already surpassing our expectations. Around the world Euphonix consoles are being installed for all types of broadcast applications such as in OB trucks for HD sporting events, television shows and even the Olympic Games, and we couldn’t be more pleased,” commented Martin Kloiber, Euphonix CEO.

Across the United States, Euphonix is experiencing a* *surge in sales. PBS stations have installed three Euphonix consoles. MPTV-PBS Milwaukee installed 24-fader Max Air with the DF66 SuperCore to be shared between two studios; one for local production and the other for live pledge drives. The station also outfitted its new HD truck with 40-fader Max Air for flawless remote broadcasting. WYCC-PBS Chicago just came online with a 56-fader Max Air with fully redundant DF66 SuperCores.

In Dallas, WFAA, one of the few TV stations west of the Mississippi River with call letters beginning with "W”, ordered a 40 fader Euphonix System 5-B. Also in Texas clothing retailer JC Penney has purchased three Euphonix consoles, two Max Air consoles for in-store broadcasts such as employee training and cosmetic counter how-to videos, and a Euphonix Fusion for commercial post-production; meanwhile New Orleans-based Jesse* *Duplantis Ministries has installed a 24-fader Fusion. The church will use the console to record weekly religious services live onto a Nuendo DAW rig and then for posting it for a worldwide audience on its Internet broadcast network later during the week.

Japanese broadcasting giant NHK has also landed stateside, outfitting a new HD OB truck with a 40-fader System 5B with a redundant DF66 DSP SuperCore. The truck, which will be based out of New York City, will primarily cover major league baseball teams that feature Japanese players. Taking advantage of its location in the states, NHK OB truck will also be broadcasting most major US sporting events including the World Series and the Superbowl.

In Europe, another Euphonix System 5-B was just delivered to Media Luso for a new HD truck based out of Lisbon. The delivery of this console marks the eighth Euphonix/ /purchased by parent company MEDIAPRO group. Eurosport once again chose Euphonix as their vendor of choice, installing a System 5-B in their Paris facility for broadcasting sporting events from the French Open to the Tour de France to the Olympic Games.

In Luxembourg, the Centre National de l'Audiovisuel (CNA) installed a 24-fader System 5-BP digital audio mixing system in its state-of-the-art cultural center in order to nationally broadcast live music programs from its high-tech concert hall. While Channel 1 Moscow, one of Russia's most highly rated TV networks installed two System 5-B audio mixing systems in their control room.

Finally in preparation for the upcoming summer Olympics, Chongqing TV in China has purchased two Euphonix Max Air mixing systems. Both consoles will be used in OB Trucks for covering the games being held throughout Beijing.

During NAB the NHK OB truck will be on display, show attendees are welcome to stop in and see the new remote set-up, while Euphonix will be exhibiting all their broadcast solutions on Booth N5217.
