ActiveLight named premier U.S. distributor for Barco Media |

POULSBO, WA (June 2, 2004) - Activelight, the leading value-added distributor of professional plasma and LCD display solutions, has been named a premier United States distributor of Barco Media's new line of professional grade, turnkey LED hardware and software solutions, the company announced today.
"ActiveLight will begin carrying Barco's digital signage products immediately, beginning with the Solaris LCD and LED product lines," said Brad Gleeson, president of ActiveLight.
"As ActiveLight focuses on offering higher value-added products and a wider value stream of products to our growing digital signage customer base, the strategic fit with Barco Media's Solaris advanced display products is undeniable," Gleeson said. Barco Media is widely recognized as a global leader in large LED digital signage displays that were, up to now, designed and built custom to each individual customer's requirement, Gleeson said. However, Barco Media recently developed and introduced complete turnkey, professional-grade hardware and software solutions that are competitively priced and easy to install.

Gooch said that as the demand for Barco Media products increased, it became necessary to selectively add an established, well-known distribution partner such as ActiveLight to improve the flow of information and to create a more accessible conduit to the digital signage dealer sales channel.
Although the relationship is just beginning, Gleeson said the synergies between ActiveLight and Barco are very strong.
