CSI introduces Fiberlink Bidirectional 3G/HD/SD-SDI over one fiber!

Communications Specialties Inc. (CSI) introduced the Fiberlink® 3352 Series of transceivers that distribute two independent channels of 3G/HD/SD-SDI over one fiber in opposite directions: one upstream, one downstream. Unique to the Fiberlink 3352 is that it is a transceiver; the same unit is used both upstream and downstream making installation a snap!

All SMPTE compliant signals are equalized and reclocked and each unit comes equipped with a BNC loop-through for continuous copper extension of the two input signals. Each unit features two reclocked, non-inverting BNC outputs. The 3352 Series is compliant with SMPTE 259M-2006, 292-2006, 424M-2006 and supports the transmission of SMPTE 305M-2005, 310M-2004, 344M-2000 and DVB-ASI. Best of all, the series is immune to pathological patterns over entire link budget and operating temperature range. For maximum flexibility, the units may be configured with ST or LC optical connectors.

Fiberlink 3352 Series is ideal for any broadcast or professional video application: broadcast studios, sporting events, confidence monitoring, OB vans, video conferencing and more!

“Broadcast engineers have long sought the ability to transmit multiple 3G-SDI signals over a single fiber,” says Paul Seiden, Director of Sales. “The Fiberlink 3352 Series delivers that in a low cost, high value package that provides exceptional performance and flexibility.”
