CSI Announces 3G/HD/SD-SDI to HDMI, DVI, VGA & Component Video Fiber Optic Receiver Family
Hauppauge, New York – Communications Specialties Inc. (CSI) announced the latest additions to the Fiberlink® Series of SMPTE compliant 3G/HD/SD-SDI fiber optic transmission systems: the 355x family of fiber optic receivers that convert the 3G/HD/SD-SDI and embedded audio to HDMI with stereo audio, DVI with stereo audio, VGA with stereo audio or Component Video with stereo audio.
"This new family of Fiberlink receivers are ideal for all pro a/v applications," says Paul Seiden, Director of Sales. "Now, integrators and a/v professionals can manage their video and audio signals in a very repeatable and predictable manner using SDI while cost effectively integrating low-cost, high definition displays and computer monitors. A digital signage application for example; you can route and switch your SDI signal to multiple HDMI, DVI, VGA and Component Video displays and select a different language or audio pair to output at each display."
The Fiberlink® 3353 3G/HD/SD-SDI to HDMI Optical Receiver:
The Fiberlink 3353 allows you to convert SMPTE compliant 3G/HD/SD-SDI transmitted over fiber from a Fiberlink 3350, 3360 or 3380 fiber optic transmitter to HDMI. If audio is present in the SDI data stream, the operator can choose one of up to 4 pairs of stereo audio to embed into the HDMI baseband signal as well as output on the convenient audio RCA connections. Alternatively, the operator may choose to mute any existing audio.
The Fiberlink® 3355 3G/HD/SD-SDI to DVI Optical Receiver:
The Fiberlink 3355 allows you to convert SMPTE compliant 3G/HD/SD-SDI transmitted over fiber from a Fiberlink 3350, 3360 or 3380 fiber optic transmitter to DVI. If audio is present in the SDI data stream, the operator can choose one of up to 4 pairs of stereo audio to output on the convenient audio RCA connections. Alternatively, the operator may choose to mute any existing audio.
The Fiberlink® 3357 3G/HD/SD-SDI to VGA or Component Video Optical Receiver:
The Fiberlink 3357 allows you to convert SMPTE compliant 3G/HD/SD-SDI transmitted over fiber from a Fiberlink 3350, 3360 or 3380 fiber optic transmitter to VGA or Component Video. If audio is present in the SDI data stream, the operator can choose one of up to 4 pairs of stereo audio to output on the convenient audio RCA connections. Alternatively, the operator may choose to mute any existing audio.
Optional features include an equalized and re-clocked SDI loop-through and choice of an ST connector for pro a/v applications or a SMPTE compliant LC connector.
The Fiberlink 3350, 3360 & 3380 Series are compliant with SMPTE 297-2006 and have the ability to operate seamlessly with Fiberlink Matrix and other SMPTE 297-2006 fiber optic compliant devices. They are also immune to pathological signals over the entire budget link and operating temperature range, and are compatible with both single mode and multimode fiber types.
Available in a small footprint box, it is ideal for digital signage, corporate environments, rental and staging, stadiums and theaters, airport or transportation hubs, distance learning, surgical and medical imaging, broadcast or corporate studios, OB vans and more!
