 | Adtec Awarded as Finalist for Small Business Exporter of the Year
Nashville, Tenn.—Adtec Digital Inc.
was recently presented with a Finalist Award in the Inaugural National District Export Council’s “Small Business Exporter of the Year” competition.
“Small businesses like Adtec Digital are the engines of our economy and represent some of the best in high-tech American exports,” Chairman of the National DEC Steering Committee, Don Gallion, said. “The firm continues to use its ingenuity and expertise to find new broadcasting and multimedia applications and to expand its exports worldwide.”
Adtec exports to over 60 nations and exports account for a significant portion of overall sales.
“We’ve benefited from export counseling, market research and pre-arranged business appointments abroad provided through the U.S. Commercial Service network and U.S. Export Assistance Centers,” Adtec Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Ron Johnson, said. “We are honored to have been chosen as a finalist for the award among small businesses nationwide.”
Companies competing for the award were nominated by private sector DEC members and U.S. Commercial Services offices.
“The judges were swayed by Adtec’s ability to hurdle export obstacles,” Vice-Chair of the Tennessee Export Council, Jim Frierson, said. “The DEC judging panel also looked at criteria such as domestic product content, growth in the number of export markets, increased employment in the United States and share of exports contributing to company sales.”
District Export Councils (DEC) are organizations of leaders from the local business communities across the United States and are appointed by successive Secretaries of Commerce. For more than 25 years, DECs have served the United States by assisting companies in their local communities export, thus promoting our country’s economic growth and creating new and higher-paying jobs for their communities.
