Cockeysville, MD, April 11, 2008 Acrodyne Industries Inc. (Ai), a publicly held company (ACRO.PK), introduces, in cooperation with Linear Industries Inc, at the NAB show in Las Vegas, a low power line of solid-state transmitters targeted at the price conscious Community Broadcast Service and LPTV. This product adds to Ai's ability to address all segments of the industry with products that are matched to their requirements of performance and price. Ai will be showing a 200W LINEAR product in its booth that is representative of the full line from Linear.
Ai also offers the Rohde and Schwarz high power solid-state transmitter and exciter line and its own IOT based full power product. All of these products are supported by Ai's highly regarded service, field design and operations organization.
"This addition to our transmitter offerings is ideally suited for the LPTV market in both analog and digital configurations. It allows Ai to provide a premium product at a very cost effective price. Ai has been providing low power products and services for 40 years and continues to support the thousands of systems currently on the air worldwide. We will support this new product with parts and service from our factory in Oaks Pennsylvania, as we do all of our offerings," stated Nat Ostroff, President and Chairman, Ai.
"Ai carefully qualified the LINEAR product before it was added to our offerings. We found it to meet or exceed our engineering and quality expectations. This product will be a welcome additional choice for many low power broadcasters when they are considering their transmitter purchase options," stated Andy Whiteside, Engineering Vice President, Ai.
Gustavo Figueiredo, President of LINEAR INDUSTRIES said "We are pleased to see a company of the stature of Acrodyne represent our products. It confirms the quality and performance of the LINEAR equipment equals that which the US broadcaster has come to expect from Acrodyne". LINEAR will continue to supply our complete range of UHF digital and analog products for the North American market. I look forward to a long and rewarding relationship with Acrodyne".
