Continental Microwave Limited Continental Microwave (a Vislink company) has supplied world class equipment, through a global network of distributors for over thirty years with more than three thousand portable microwave transmission products in service around the world. Ranging from solid state television transmitters and transposers to portable systems for semi-permanent long haul transmission from outside broadcast venues back to the studio. As well as a range of portable satellite transmission systems that meet the pragmatic needs of the satellite news gathering market. Continental Microwave (CML) was the major supplier of digital television transmitters for the UK Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) system. Most recently CML was awarded a US$58 million contract to supply new equipment and services to the Venezuelan national broadcaster, Compania Anomina Venezolana de Television (VTV) to upgrade their national TV network. CML will be managing the supply and installation of microwave and satellite transmission links, TV transmitters, outside broadcast vehicles and studio production equipment during 2004 and the first half of 2005. Continental Microwave Limited is a subsidiary company within Vislink's broadcast business and recently relocated to the UK technology centre of excellence in Chesham.
