Digital Signage
Digital Signage systems are now part of nearly everyone's daily lives. From automated menu systems, to hotel bulletin boards to roadside billboards, digital signage is here to stay. And why not, it is simple and straightforward to create a multilayer page and route it to one or more displays. Scheduling software can provide automated updates and default displays as needed.
When considering a system, there are several pieces needed. Not all are available from every vendor, nor are they all compatible. Items to consider include: creation software, scheduling software, network type and topology, number and types of displays as well as the update method. Digital signage systems must be updated regularly. If the signage is remote, often the best way to update it is through the internet or wireless technology including data messaging within a broadcast signal. |
